GLOSSARY

Channel - A Channel is an individual whom acts as a conduit between the earth plane and the Spirit world.  

Channeling - Channeling is the process wherein the Channel enters an altered state and allows Spirits to communicate through them.  This can be achieved in a multitude of ways such as speaking, writing, creating art, 
or healing. There are many forms of Channeling such as conscious channeling, trance channeling, and automatic writing.

Trance Channeling - This is a form of channeling whereby the Channel enters a very deep altered state. The Channel's consciousness is put aside (temporarily) so that the Spirit Guides can have a vehicle through which they can communicate. As a result, the Channel does not retain any of the information that is expressed through them. Deep Trance Channeling also allows the Spirit Guide's presence and personality to come through more distinctly than conscious forms of Channeling. 

Cosmic Intelligence - The source of all intelligence. The source of creation.

Holistic - An emphasis on the universe and all living nature as whole rather than a separation into parts.

Spirit Guides - Spirit Guides are disincarnate entities that have evolved in their universal awareness through living many lifetimes on Earth and/or other dimensions. They take on the role of an advisor, guardian, or teacher. Their attraction to us is either because they have known us in this or a former life and/or because they are of like mind.  They are not omniscient, but often have an overview of our path that gives them an awareness of who we are as our spirit-selves. They know us as more than just the outer persona that we present to the world. Often they can see where we came from before we had a human form, and where we will eventually return to in Spirit form, including knowledge of what challenges we have met in other lifetimes.

Master Spirit Guides - A Guide that has developed great universal awareness or mastery. They oversee our spiritual development and speak through Channels to disseminate teachings. Master Guides have usually had many incarnations through which they have achieved clarity and knowledge. 

Spirit Teachers - A Spirit who has had real experience with the subject; an expert. These Spirits usually are not personal Guides because they work with a larger audience in bringing forth their teachings.
